Vihreä Watti Oy and Helen Oy have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing grid flexibility and enabling new revenue streams for customers through smart battery solutions and demand response services.

The collaboration focuses particularly on the needs of corporate and institutional clients, combining Vihreä Watti’s delivery capabilities with Helen’s electricity market expertise. In this partnership, Vihreä Watti will supply innovative and scalable battery solutions to customers, while Helen provides smart flexibility services and electricity contracts that enable participation in reserve markets (FCR-D, FCR-N, aFRR, mFRR) and Nord Pool wholesale markets (Spot and Intraday) using batteries delivered by Vihreä Watti.

For large-scale battery projects, Vihreä Watti is the exclusive official partner in Finland of BYD—a global leader in battery manufacturing—and Enershare. BYD's technology is recognized worldwide for its reliability, safety, and efficiency. This partnership brings high-performance energy storage solutions to the Finnish industrial and commercial sectors.

The high price volatility in the Finnish electricity market has created a growing demand for new solutions that help manage energy price risks and improve grid balance. Smart batteries offer a way to both store energy and actively participate in the electricity markets—for example, by selling stored electricity back to the grid when prices are high.
