Energy support for farms

Aid may be granted for investments in energy production, energy saving or energy efficiency. The investment is eligible only to the extent that the energy is used in agricultural production activities.

To qualify for the aid, the energy installation must use a renewable energy source.

Terms and conditions of the aid

• You own or rent the farm that is the subject of the aid.
• You have a land registry decision on your lease from the Land Registry. Attach the registration decision to your aid application.
• The lease must be transferable to a third party without consulting the owner of the property and must be valid for at least 10 years.
• You must receive at least EUR 25 000 in agricultural entrepreneurial income by the fifth calendar year following the granting of the aid (investments in competitiveness and modernisation). The entrepreneurial income is calculated by deducting from the agricultural income the variable and fixed costs, depreciation and interest on debts relating to agriculture. You comply with mandatory requirements on your farm based on European Union and national legislation on the environment, hygiene and animal welfare.
