Hyundai of Korea started its photovoltaic business in 2004. By 2016, the solar panel manufacturing business was so strong that it was incorporated. This is how Hyundai Energy Solutions was born.
Hyundai Energy Solutions has factories in Korea, China, Vietnam and the USA. Hyundai has an annual production capacity of about 4.4 gigawatts of solar panels, which is about 40 times the amount that will be installed in Finland in 2021.
